The business of Government.

Government is a corporate business that in a "democratic" country everyone has one share in.  They're in the business of spending our tax money.  Government is tax representation.  That really is it, yes they follow rules that they set to insure they keep control, and protect the share holders who are the bosses of the boss but also the customers, and labour.  In general it looks good on paper because the government usually stays in business.
The problem is there are always going to be unsatisfied customers, and dissident workers because the wages are unequal, and usually not unionized.   Though they try to please everyone it's really hard to because one boss can't take care of millions of customers/employees who are also his bosses. Often the majority don't even like the boss because they don't think he should be boss.  They usually feel he is mismanaging the managers and the money.  Others don't participate because they don't realize that it's their business that someone is running, without much dividend.  It gets more complicated and rather confusing, and the customer service/HR department is trying really hard to take care of the customers but gets micromanaged, and have less and less budget all the time to work with because the tax money is spent on taking care of the competition/customers (big business) and making sure they are happy.
There is also other competition that don't work by the same rules like dictatorships/sole proprietorships, and also the lawless rogue businesses that just don't get the whole capitalism thing and try to run either non-for profits or some gangsta shit.
Overall it's a great idea this democracy run government/business thing.  However not everyone is on the same page, and though governments like ours try really hard to take over all the other systems of government to work with ours so we all benefit they're not good at working with others and usually end up ripping them off, and/or beating them up because they came up gangsta by stealing the goods they we're selling from their customers.
When it comes to the global village historically Canada's government has done a relatively good job of putting the customer first and therefore satisfying them, and treating the competitions customers with respect as well.  Yes they've only really treated badly the previous owners of the shop whom basically gave them their business to run in the first place.  Canada continue to be ungrateful and disrespectful to them but they've got bigger fish to fry right now because Canada is a really small shop but has a disproportionate abundance of product; luckily the big store gun shop guys next door are gangsta; but they are nice to us, and protect us because we from the same block and all.
The gun shop is also nice to us because we let them come in to our shop and take what they want, or because we know how gangsta they are and we don't snitch, either way they're trying to look all legit to the other customers/workers because they trying to take over all their product. Unfortunately they (the gun shop) is really bad with money, and are very bad at customer service/HR, and have a very bad business model because they just consume everything, but only make and sell guns. This has jeopardized the whole business thing because if it keeps up: all the product, and resources, will be gone and all we will be left with is guns to deal with. Luckily there is a solution to keep everyone happy: the gun store, and all the gun store's gun making/selling competition has to get out of the gun business, take all their resources and put them towards construction/renovation, farming, and sustainable energy.

Stroprah 01.21.2011

It's a new day.  How cliche; but it is you know.
Anyways I'm moving forward even when traveling backwards in time, this has been established by many time traveler Jedi, and though I don't have proof of this, I'm certain that it has been, it's a simple truth.  Simple truths are something I'm getting real good at, assuming you believe my unwavering opinions.  Anyways I digress; again....
The reason I'm cluttering the internet with more of this internetting stuff is to post a couple of music videos I made.
I conceived shot and edited the instrumental "Formulas And Functions" by Circle Research one evening in the latter part of 2009.  I did this unofficially and on my own accord using a rental car, and bribing my wife to be talent (with some Tim Horton's; I know right : ) anyways ) .  I did this because 1.) I'm a huge fan of Circle Research  & 2.) As always I get inspired visually by Circle Research music, I've even got a couple of movies planned using their "Who?" and "Gardiner Express" those entire LP's as soundtracks.

The music that accompanies the first video is from their album Gardiner Express & it wasn't officially released yet at the time but I got an advance copy because I worked on the cover art for Gardiner Express.  So after finishing the original video I showed it to Circle Research, but it was decided that the yaking part was confusing....  When conceiving the video I had decided that that's exactly what I was going for but I guess it just didn't fit the CR vision for the track/video and the video got shelved till now.

So 2010 saw Circle Research make a remix of "Formulas And Functions" with Maylee Todd who I actually got to direct in a another CR video "You Don't Know Me",  I didn't really know who she was at the time we made "You Don't Know Me"; I just took her for one of CR's cool artsy friends.  Fast fwd to 2011 and I sure do know now who she is now, as does anyone who knows good music in Canada because Maylee Todd is awesome!!!!
So CR made the remix of "Formulas And Functions" featuring Maylee Todd, so I remixed the video to fit the new version.
I'm releasing these now because  I've always wanted to share all my work but always seem to find a reason not to get around to it, & in this post "R!P A Remix Manifesto" world I'm shamelessly going to share as much of my creativity as I possibly can, it's my calling,  my passion, my trade, so I need to be more proactive in getting my work out there, especially since I want to make a living doing this kind of thing.

BTW CR is getting spins on CBC Radio3 so go give 'em a thumbs up and add them to your playlists so they can be on the R3 30; my favorite radio show/podcast since The Circle Research show.

p.s. the yaking part in the video was open to interpretation from the start; my interpretation at the time was foreshadowing to being prego, which I'm glad to report has worked out marvelously, we are now proud parents of an awesome baby boy : )
